Safi Airways, the International airline of Afghanistan has been hosting the first ever ‘Airbus A320 Launch Party’ to mark and celebrate the occasion of the aircraft joining the airline’s fleet.
Invited by Safi Airways Chairman, Rahim Safi, the gala event was held at Serena Hotel in Kabul. The event was attended by over 250 dignitaries including Ministers, Ambassadors, Heads of Government Organizations, Government officials, NGO’s, Contractors and other important dignitaries from the country’s aviation community.
Marked by a succulent international buffet, an entertaining local Afghan band of accomplished musicians and the speeches of Safi Airways Chairman Rahim Safi and Executive Vice Chairman & Chief Operating Officer Captain Werner Borchert, the highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the lucky draws for 5 fortunate winners of travel packages and flight tickets to Frankfurt and Dubai as well as a large scale Airbus A320 model.
The Airbus A320 is an addition to the existing 4 aircraft in the fleet of Safi Airways. This aircraft has arrived in Kabul and will fly the Kabul-Dubai double daily service starting next week. This A320 has 12 lie-flat Business Class seats and 138 all-leather Economy seats, providing all passengers with more capacity and more seat comfort.
Safi Airways recently opened a representative office in Beijing and looks towards expanding its current network destinations as well.
